Helping people find a healthy path to fully live by knowing and being known by others.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from University of Washington in 1991. Between the years of 1994 and 1996, I worked in Rostov, Russia. One of my many responsibilities included counseling Russians in regards to their interpersonal dynamics, life goals, and spiritual formation within the Russian culture context. While helping others wrestle with the deepest longings of their soul, I found my heart continually yearning to help others in this way. After my stint in Russia, I decided to pursue my Master of Arts in Counseling. I received my Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary of Seattle in 2000. Since graduating with my Masters Degree, I have provided counseling in a university setting, an in-patient hospitalization program, an intensive day treatment program, as well as an adjunct faculty at Seattle Pacific University, and now currently in private practice.

I am also a 1.5 generation Korean American. I was born in South Korea and I grew up in the US. As part of an emigrant family, I have had the unique opportunity of experiencing two cultures: the Korean culture of my home culture and the American culture outside the home. This bicultural experience has not only brought great richness but also many challenges to life. As a bicultural person, I personally understand the struggles and the process of integrating different cultural entities into a complete identity. I have the breadth of understanding and insight needed to navigate the complexities of the cultural issues. Also as a mother of a bi-racial biological child and an internationally adopted child, I have yet another valuable perspective to offer my clients. These life experiences have fueled my desire to work with clients who are wrestling with cultural adjustment issues; whether they be Third Culture Kids, bicultural persons, international adoptees, couples in bi-cultural marriages, or professionals repatriating to the US.

I am currently a Mental Health Counselor Associate, registered in the State of Washington (MC 60142599). I am also a member of the Seattle Counselors Association (SCA).
